Adaptive Music Lessons
The structure of traditional music lessons is not for everyone. With so much cognitive variability from person to person, I believe that music instruction should be adaptable to every brain. The main difference between Music Therapy and Adaptive Music Lessons are goals. The goals of music therapy are therapeutic, or non-musical. Adaptive music lessons are designed for individuals that have not benefitted from the structure of traditionally structured music lessons, but still have a primary goal of music instruction. Utilizing each participant's unique strengths and interests, I aim to make learning music fun and accessible to anyone. Adaptive lessons are particularly helpful for neurodivergent individuals, or those with physical or developmental disabilities. Pulling techniques from both music therapy and music instruction, adaptive music lessons are catered to the individual.
